NFS
If you shut down an NFS server before un-mounting its clients the clients may hang !If you have done this
- Start up / recreate NFS server (with same IP address)
- Remount client at exactly same mount point
# cat /proc/mounts
- Cleanly umount client mount point
- Now you can safely shutdown NFS server
